Final Month

The plan:
I quit my English teaching job because I decided I need to see Argentina before I come home for the month of November. This friday I plan to head down south the this place called Peninsula de Valdez. They call it a wildlife wonderland... there are whales, sealions, etc... I'll have more details when i get back. I am basically going to wing it for a week and a half and see how far i can go in Patagonia. Then back to Buenos Aires to go up North with Ale to Tucuman (her home town). We will spend the weekend with her family and even go to a wedding. From there I will continue on up north to check out the rest of the country. It would be nice to make it to Iguazu falls but we will see how far my time and money will allow.
November 1st: I will be back in good ol' NYC so get ready cause we gotta do it up RIGHT!!!!!

10 pounds, 10 days

Some people have been asking me about the blog... no, I havent forgotten, just been busy. I guess thats a good thing :o)
My parents are here visiting me right now for 10 days and i've probably already gained 10 pounds... what else do you do with family besides eat?! Things are actually really great here in Buenos Aires. Been working (minimally) and going to class (sporatically) and drinking and dancing (weekendly) and speaking spanish (hourly). Oh, its also quite fun to have a "friend" studying here to be a chef... yeah, i guess you can say i met a guy :o) I'll spare the details...
I guess thats all I want to put out there right now. I have some friends coming in 2 weeks and I cant wait to show them the life i got going on here. I wish I can show everyone how possible it is to just make a life for yourself in another country... finally after 6 1/2 months I feel completely and totally intergrated. I finally feel like a spanish speaker and I am on a mission for the perfect pair of converse (soooo argentina).
I am off, to go eat again... word of advice, if you are on a diet... dont date a chef (especially one that cooks amaaaaazing) :o)
